THE TENTH OF JUNE- An Ode to Life University Praan Pratishtha
The tenth of June, two hours before the noon
The quills of history,
would be quivering soon
The day was muggy and the wind was still
Its breath was bated but resolute was its will
The land arose, the mountains leaned
From birds in the sky, the news they gleaned.
Master was coming, the blessings would shower
Ahilya’s heart would then
bloom and flower
The solidified curse would melt now soon
The stars would be
brighter, aglow would be moon
The hardness would soften, the nectar would flow.
The forests would sprout,
The winds would blow
From his perch atop the Neem tree, Hanuman smiled
Sun gave a knowing look,
as the bees around whiled
Memories arose and promises came to mind
The Master’s heart, he
always knew to be kind
As he looked afar, the dust arose
The Master’s flock, was
coming now close
The land shook and the life came to fore
To witness the history,
to watch the lore
The meditation began, the cosmos churned
The living and
non-living, all heads turned
At the touch of the Master’s feet, the earth felt fateful
Ahilya’s heart was
aflutter, her soul was grateful
As the Sun forgot, its journey from dawn,
His eyebrows sweltered, the
sweat beads formed
Watching this, the birds chirped long,
Awoke the Sun who then moved on
The ant passing by, picked his droplet of sweat,
It pricked the
disciple, in the way as a threat
All became one and one became all
No one was big and none
was too small
The ceremony got over, the earth was alive
Directions united, the purpose defined
The template was dug, The seeds were bombed
The real seed though, was
always entombed!
The Tenth of June, Oh, Tenth of June
Thank God you happened,
not a day too soon!
